ELEANOR OLDROYD

Eleanor Oldroyd presents 5 Live Sport, from midday on Sundays on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Eleanor was educated at Oxford High School and Cambridge University and started her broadcasting career in commercial radio. She moved to BBC Radio Shropshire as a sports producer in 1986.

In 1988, Eleanor joined BBC Radio 1's Newsbeat programme, moving to BBC Radio Sport in 1991 as a reporter and presenter on the old Radio Five. Since then, she has presented sport and news programmes across 5 Live, first hosting the Sunday afternoon show in 1993.

In 1995 Eleanor became the first - and so far the only - female presenter of Sports Report since it started in 1948 on the former BBC Light Programme.

She was part of the Test Match Special team from 2000 to 2005, and presented 5 Live Sport from the climax of the 2007 Formula One season at Interlagos in Brazil.
